House Price growth: According to Nationwide, UKhouse prices grew by 0.2% in June, taking annual growth to 1.5%. Markets inmore affordable Northern areas showed a stronger performance, with the highestannual value growth in the North West, Yorkshire (4.1%) and Humberside (3.7%).

Regional Variations: Rightmove’s HPI for June 2024shows that the base cut delays have restrained sellers in expensive areas,while the more affordable areas continue to push ahead. The North West,Yorkshire and Humberside lead the way in annual house price growth as mentionedabove.

Rental Market: The ONS private rent and houseprice index for June reveals average rental inflation eased in England andScotland, but Wales continues to experience higher rates. Overall, average UKprivate rental price rises slowed from 8.9% to 8.7% year on year.
